Avera foundations offer a way in which people could share in the Avera ministry of health and healing.
The generosity of many friends provides our foundations with the dollars to meet health care needs of people throughout eastern South Dakota and neighboring states. With these gifts, we are able to touch many lives in many ways while furthering our mission of the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
Why Give to Health Care?
Philanthropy dollars allow health care to be the best that it can be. Revenues generated through insurance payments or Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements only go so far in covering health care services and facilities. Generous gifts help pay for programs, building features or technology that are above and beyond what’s standard.
When people give to health care, they become part of something that’s life-saving and impactful for not only individuals, but entire families. People give because they wish to benefit their community, meet critical needs of others, respond to a recent personal or family experience, give back to society, set an example for others, live out religious beliefs, or leave a lasting legacy.
